I've been on a dream trip to Japan last December 2016, and of course, I really enjoyed it. I'm wishing for a part two, and I hope I stay longer, a year maybe? hahahaha I hope. But what is a trip if you don't try out their famous chows?

Well, just don't mind my non-skilled watercolor exhibition. Let's go straight to the topic.
I know there are a lot more to the list, but too bad, I only got to eat these goodies so they are the only ones that I'll be discussing now.

I know there are a lot more to the list, but too bad, I only got to eat these goodies so they are the only ones that I'll be discussing now.
1. Takoyaki- to be honest, I've been eating endlessly takoyaki here in my country, hoping to find one that tastes like the ones from Japan. I even made a takoyaki stand for out school requirement in 3dmax class hahaha. I really can't tell what's gotten into me to be so obsessed with it, but all I know is that I saw it on tv before, and it looked so delicious so I really wanted to try it.

If you go to Japan and see stands with the characters "たこ焼き" on it, that's the one mate. Go and get some! It's that round shaped food that's made up of batter with a piece of octopus in it, than is sprinkled with dried bonito shavings. It really depends on your taste buds if you're gonna like it or not, but it's definitely one of those "you'll keep wanting more" in my opinion.
2.Dorayaki- Are you guys familiar with Doraemon? Of course! Who wouldn't know about his favorite afternoon snack?
For this one, this is the first thing I ate when we got in Japan. We arrived at around 5 am and the only open food shop is the convenience store outside the train station. I saw a bag full of tiny dorayakis and viola! breakfast hahahaha.

You can usually see these in the convenience store. In famima, if I remember correctly, a pack has two dorayakis in it and it costs around 110 yen. I'm not sure if it's the same for lawson and 7/11. It's a pancake-like food. Enveloped between those two pancakes is red bean paste.
3. Soft Cream- I have no idea why it's called like that. But yes, it is what we all know as ice cream.

Well, from what I've searched, soft cream is different from the normal ice cream because it has whip cream in it, if I'm not mistaken, thus the name. This one, my cousin and I bought in the Osaka castle park. It costs around 300 yen. For me, it's really expensive, but it does make you feel refreshed. Eating it on a cold weather doesn't lessen the good taste of it.
4. Onigiri- This one is available everywhere, I think. Well, there are are tons of these in the konbini.

When I got there, I was expecting that typical onigiri that we seen on tv, wherein the nori is placed at the middle and it's just a small strip at the bottom part, but to my surprise, the nori was actually covering up the whole thing. Not all though. The one I ate which was part of my bento has that that looks what I have in my mind, but the most common ones are like those in the picture.
Onigiri is made out of white rice shaped in triangle or cylinder(as what I saw in the konbini) and is covered with nori or seaweed. The filling varies. I got a tuna onigiri, then there was another one that had natto in it, and many more. This is really a must try when you go to Japan.
5. Churros- This isn't a Japan-only food, but adding the match flavor to it gives it a whole new taste.

Just like the one in the picture, I got mine from Universal Studios Japan. The matcha churros has a white glaze on top of it and then some chocolate powder, I think, I really can't remember right. All I know is that it's really sweet and I wanna have a second serving.
Churros is basically a fried dough and served with a dip or filling inside.
6. Dango- If you guys know the anime Clannad, I'm sure you're sing the ending song in your head.
![Mitarashi Dango]()
There are many types of dango, but the one I tried is the Mitarashi Dango. It's the one that has a syrup on top, and not those different-colored ones. Dango is made from rice flour and the syrup for the mitarashi dango is made up of soy sauce. If it wasn't for my cousin who insisted on buying this in the konbini, I wouldn't be able to taste it hahahahaha. Love lots my dear cousin!
Well, if you guys think that I'm already done, fear not, I still have a follow up for this hahahahaha. Batch 2 is coming your day sometime! I hope you all enjoyed this and enticed you to try out these awesome treats. Ciao! <3
